I Brought Nothing Into This World
1 Contentment is found in God alone,
If you should gain the world says He,
Have all earth's treasures for your own,
In death what profit would it be.
Cho.-I brought nothing into the world with me,
I can carry nothing away,
O Lord I have all my hope in thee,
I'll need no other on that day.
2 I'll go a mansion to prepare,
A place where all the weary rest,
They'll gather there from everywhere,
From north, from south, from east, from west.
3 What more in life could I obtain,
My Father is rich beyond compare;
It brings a joy I can't explain,
Just to know that I'll be welcome there.
4 Where your treasures are, your heart will be,
And Heaven is the safest place;
And when He comes to call for me,
I'll only need His saving grace.
